rain rain go away!

wow it has been a while.... let me just start and say i am so very ready for this rain to hit the road! i'm ready for the nice spring sun and summer heat! it has been fun these last couple of nicer days to head down to the river and do some fishing! so far there is so much different wildlife. we have caught flounder fish, herring fish, and yes some sturgeon! we have seen cute little baby geese and even a nasty musk rat!!! oh and the beaver! good times.

went and saw a favorite little boys soccer game. go blue jays! and although he was a little disappointed on his performance I thought he did a great job! what a little athlete!

have a busy week ahead of me... where to start.... 2 baby showers and a bridal shower.... i think i can i think i can! so wish me luck as i am looking forward to yet another weekend filled with babies and parties....

redken class.color academy

so it was a bright and early day for me today. morning started at the vancouver hilton for a day full of education. was a lot of information in a small amount of time. it is always great to interact with other professionals and learn new techniques for our industry. i can't wait to use some of what i learned today! better start making appointments early.... now that i am making my own appointments directly i am booking up quicker than i expected! already booked this week. i can't complain but as many of you know i am a people pleaser and hate to say no! so i do what i can to make room.

it was a great day today girls, i think we learned a lot and had a lot of laughs along the way! when is the next one we are all going to attend???

a weekend come and gone

wow, what a busy last couple of weeks i think tomorrow i can finally take a deep breath and get some things done. for example its tax time. how i dread this time of year. but had a great weekend none the less. had some great clients on saturday and for working yet another sunday it was a swell time as well. happy birthday to my dear friend meka... i should say my sister i never had. even though you are a little drive you and your family are always in our thoughts. we love you and your family so much!

just another day

what a day! seriously do people on drugs really think that they can do their own hair and think it will actually turn out??? that is what i thought... hell no! so when i tell you that something won't work because your hair is like cotton and will break off i really mean it. there is nothing you can say that will EVER think differently. sorry next!

on to a different note.. my little joelyn is such a darling little thing and just found out today that she is going to have to have surgery on a muscle behind her eye in hopes that this will correct what nature hasn't yet corrected. her parents robyn and tony are very nervous for their little one to have surgery as am i. so until she turns a big ripe age of 8 months i will be constantly thinking of my new little joey that all will go well and the first surgery will be great and all will be corrected. love you my little munchkin, auntie!

hello april

it's been awhile since I have been on here so much going on. baby baby and more baby! thank goodness that none of them ar mine. One shower down and i think i have at least 3 left on my agenda. it's going to be a long month! havent decided to work at the event business quite yet.... Still hmmmmmming about that. Had a softball get together which was quite interesting.... Men or i should say boys and beer sometimes just don't mix! and they say women have drama! needless to say it is going to very interesting.

ok, so i have been real lazy lately. some people have spring break i must have had a spring month. there is many new things coming in the next month as well as some words i will share about some of the wonderful friends i have. so keep an eye out at the beginning of april. till then love who you are, we are all stronger than what we think. love you my friend

hawaii here i come

its official!!! no i am not pregnant but i have finally bought my ticket to maui for my dear friend laura's wedding in june. after many friends giving me such a hard time i folded and bought the stinkin ticket. my goal was to spend under 500 bucks and i made it! however i do get to spend an extra day but that doesn't suck! did i mention how excited i am??? ohh and the best part i get many airplane buddies.... two of my favorite little families the cerotsky's and the gray's! look out hawaiian airlines we are taking over!

here we go again

happy monday everyone... bring in the new month with a new outlook. my outlook is wishing and hoping for nice sunny spring weather. had a great weekend, if that is what you want to call it, seems like time flies so fast. went to my lovely goddaughter's volleyball tournament and saw her get after it! she is such a talented girl, i can't wait to see how she grows as a volleyball player. i love you kuwi! it sure is funny to look back at pictures of when you were just a lil baby!!!! look how far you and puka have grown!!! i love you guys

what a great day, worked a slammed pack day and finished it off with great company and a white russian in honor of miss vickie!

got to see some great clients of mine today and had some guest appearances along the way, great to see you shannon and shellee! let me tell you i have a lot of do i say it baby showers and bridal showers coming up but i don't want to forget some great march birthdays as well. i almost forgot corn dog day!!! this year should be interesting seeing as i don't eat meat... maybe they make a veggie corndog??? that is something i will have to look into. it seems as there is so much to get done and so little time.... i must help plan a pink themed bridal shower and then i am thinking of maybe throwing a welcome home party for out dear friend tina who is coming home from working in singapore for the last year and a half. hmmmm how i love to organize. i will have to sleep on it and then put some definete plans in order tomorrow. i have a very full day tomorrow and i can hardly wait!

happy 30th stef

my friend stef has turned 30 today! it sounds like she has had a great night so far. i wish that i could be in long beach with her to celebrate the end of her 20's. however i was advised to wait because the weather isn't very nice down there, i have to love how stef knows i love the warm sunny weather!
i met stef when i was down in monmouth living with our friend alissa, i can't believe it was that long ago that we first met. let me tell you there are so many things that she has taught me through the years, the many camp songs, high school cheers, useless crossword words, and the ever famous new ways to get the volume to any hair do! yes, putting a cup in your hair. for all of these great reasons and so many more great times is why i can't even begin to imagine not having steffie as a great friend! so as i sit here and wish her a happiest 30th birthday i hope that you are enjoying yourself on 2nd street at shannon's. you will have to take a raincheck for when i come down to visit! i will get you that crepe dessert that i was so desperately trying to get for you tonight! happy birthday my steffie jo, love you lots!

a new look

what a way to end the work week! had a great saturday and had a great friend decide to leave her brunette ways and welcome becoming a blonde. i'm so forgetful and forgot to get a picture of kate before we started the blonde transformation so i guess a end result will have to do. so if you want for a minute close your eyes and picture my friend kate with a medium brown hair color with a tint of reddish tones as well.... do you see it? well this is her now! i think it is always fun and exciting when clients go for a dramatic change. sometimes the best ideas are the ones that are decided right then and there. kate thanks for being a great model for my blog! love you!

a good day

Not much of a day for me... enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and getting so see some of my favorite clients at work! Even though I have a full day at work tomorrow I feel like I should help out one of my best friends with her job. I don't know how she does what she does at her job without losing her mind! Sometimes I feel like people just don't see the bigger picture. So as an attempt to show others that one person CAN'T do it ALL ON their own I will VOLUNTEER my time to support the ones I care about! Have a safe weekend, and keep my friend Brandon and his family in your thoughts and prayers. It is going to be tough weekend ahead for them!

what a day

It was great to stop by OHSU and visit with Nicole and Brandon as well as their many family and friends! What a great group love and support! The family is so strong! It sounds like things are going well, V has remained strong and continues to fight every minute. She has a lot to live for, her oldest daughter's wedding as well as grandbabies down the line! Nicole reminds her of that all the time!
Also Gresham Olive Garden helped bring smiles to many faces tonight up on the hill. Thanks again so very much to Josh as well as the many others at OG. Your act of kindness left all of us speechless.
Tomorrow will be a waiting game for the family so my thoughts are going out to the family for what is to come. Love you all!

my dear friend nicole

I met Nicole when she first started at Sunrise Salon. She is just one of those people that you get along with straight away! She is hilarious and just a great person to have in your life. This year she has had to deal with much more than even I can imagine. I feel so happy for her that through tragedy she has mended and made a stronger relationship with ones that care for her! Nicole and her boyfriend are now faced with a new mountain to climb. As I hear many people talking about the shooting in Gresham at the M & M I can't even begin to imagine how the families are dealing with such lose. Brandon's (Nicole's boyfriend) mom Vickie that was shot but continues to fight to stay with her family and loved ones. I know that Vickie has a huge struggle ahead of her but am convinced with the amount of love and support she has around her she will get through this.
Nicole, I am speechless when I think of all the things you have dealt with this last year. You a a strong woman with a loving and caring heart! I know people don't tell friends how amazing they are enough, so I tell you this today, you are GREAT! You have the ability to get through the toughest times with a good sense of humor or just a smile that makes people around you feel at ease. You truly put others before yourself, you are a great soul and I feel like a lucky woman having you in my life as such a great friend and a great woman. Love you girl! Thinking of you all!

the pravavna beach wave

So tomorrow I am actually going to be doing a "perm" at work!!! I never thought this day would come... I will say I am sort of excited, Pravana came out with a new product called the Beach Wave and it creates internal curl patterns so if your hair is fine or just won't hold a curl this will solve your problems! No rods including papers to fuss with just sponge like blocks! Wish me luck!

a new journey

I'm very excited to start this new adventure! It seems like there is so many things that are happening right now in my life. I thought this would be a great way to document all the fun times to come! This year is going to be the start of new marriages, new babies (lots of new babies) and great friends! As well as getting a look into my life I will also be introducing favorite new hair products so look forward to that!
